Local Focus Assessment/Interview

All applicants for Police Constable and Police Cadet must meet the minimum qualifications to enter the Selection Process.  Applicants must complete a written assessment of general knowledge and community awareness, in addition to an assessment interview with a Corporate Recruitment & Development Officer.

Applicants failing to attend on their selected Local Focus Assessment/Interview date, without prior notification, must wait a minimum of six (6) months to re-apply.

It is recommended that all applicants arrive a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled start time.  Applicants will be required to present their Certificate of Results (COR) on the selected assessment day.

Re-Applying

Applicants deemed non-competitive at any stage of the recruiting process will be notified by email.  Re-applications may be made after a minimum of six (6) months from the date of the notification email.  The number of applications is not limited, providing it is within the prescribed time parameters.  Personal, professional and/or educational improvement is desirable and expected between applications.
