Finance is a dynamic group of professionals with diverse backgrounds including finance, policing, inventory management and business systems. The main functions of this bureau are to:
- Provide financial planning services to Peel Regional Police, through the development of the annual current operating budget, ten-year capital plan, long-term forecast and reserve management;
- Provide internal control and financial support services to members of Peel Regional Police, including the preparation and maintenance of financial procedures;
- Provide strategic planning and research expertise to support decision-making by management within Peel Regional Police;
- Provide accurate and timely processing of time and attendance activity in accordance with Peel Regional Police's collective agreements;
- Provide a professional pay duty service to individuals, private/public sectors of the community, including special functions and events;
- Provide process review, project management and automated solutions to various bureaux relating to continuous process improvement initiatives; and,
- Oversee the delivery of Regional Purchasing services to Peel Regional Police bureaux.
