Peel Police - Young Person Arrested in Attempted Murder

Mississauga – Investigators from 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a young person in relation to a stabbing. 

On Thursday December 31, 2015 at 5:54am, police attended the area of Seneca Avenue and Lakeshore Road East in the city of Mississauga for a male that had been stabbed.

The victim, an 18 year-old male, was located at the scene and transported to a local trauma center for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

As a result of the investigation, on Monday January 4, 2016 a 17 year-old Mississauga female has been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and for Breach of Probation. She is being held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton on Tuesday January 5, 2016.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
