Peel Police - Witnesses Sought in Pedestrian Struck Collision Investigation

Mississauga – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into a motor vehicle collision that occurred in Mississauga.

On January 31, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police were called to the area of Jaguar Valley in Mississauga, for a pedestrian who had been involved in a collision with a vehicle in the parking lot of a residential building.  As a result of the collision, the victim, a 63 year old female resident of Mississauga, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a trauma centre in Toronto where she remains in serious condition. 

Aderito FERREIRA, a 68 year old male resident of Mississauga, and has been charged with Impaired Operation Cause Bodily Harm and Excess Cause Bodily Harm, in relation to this matter.  Mr. FERREIRA will appear in front of a Justice on February 15, 2016, at Davis Court in Brampton.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or who may have information about the actions of the driver prior to the collision.
