Peel Police - Peel Regional Police Officer – Facing Criminal Charges

Peel – In December, 2015 an incident that occurred at 22 Division was brought to the attention of Chief Evans who immediately ordered an internal investigation.

Earlier today, Sergeant Jeff Jones #2466, a 15 year veteran of Peel Regional Police was charged with one count of assault stemming from the incident. He is scheduled to make his first appearance at William Davis Court on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

Chief Jennifer Evans is committed to holding officers accountable for their actions in order to maintain the trust that the community places in the Peel Regional Police. Sergeant Jeff Jones has been suspended from duty since the onset of the investigation.
