Introductory Question:

1. "What are some of the words that you think of when you hear the word 'Internet'?"

3. Introduce words that may not have been offered by students in class discussion:
   • cache, chat, cookie, download, email, netiquette, search engine, WWW (world wide web), personal information, virus

5. Use student responses as a springboard for discussion of various aspects of Internet use:
   • chat rooms and messaging software (e.g. MSN)

7. Video Introduction:
   
   "Sometimes we may think that everything about the Internet is safe and sound. But as we will see in this video, we need to learn to be aware of some of the dangers that can be found as we surf the World Wide Web! As you watch the video try to remember one or two important rules that you would like your friends and family to follow as they travel in Cyberspace."
