SMOKE SHOP CLERK ROBBED AT KNIFE - POINT
A young female employee of a Brampton Smoke Shop was robbed at knife – point, and Peel Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving this cowardly crime.
On Thursday April 26, 2007, shortly before 3:00 in the afternoon, the suspect entered the Real Canadian Superstore on Steeles Avenue just west of Hurontario Street. As the clerk tried to assist the suspect, she was met with a butcher knife being brandished by the suspect. He demanded money and helped himself to the cash register, successfully taking a small quantity of cash. The employee ran out of the store for help, and the suspect fled on foot.
The suspect is described as male East Indian, 18 – 22 years of age, 6 ‘ tall with a thin build, black hair, and a chin strap beard. He was wearing a light blue sweater, blue jeans, white running shoes, with black gloves and a blue bandana on his head.
