TAXI CAB DRIVER ROBBED
Peel Crime Stoppers and the Central Robbery Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in solving the vicious robbery of a Brampton Taxi Cab driver.
On the 18th of February, 2007, the victim was dispatched to a residence on Chipstead Avenue in
Brampton to pick up a fare. At approximately 12:45 a.m. the victim arrived at the residence and
exited his taxi. As the victim approached the residence he was confronted by 2 suspects who
came from the side of the residence, one of whom was armed with a gun.
The suspects demanded the victim's money. The victim turned over a quantity of cash to the suspects and the suspect with the gun struck the victim in the face with the butt of the gun.
The suspects then fled on foot.
They are described as:
Suspect #1: male, black, 20 years of age, 5'9", thin build and wearing dark clothing.
Suspect #2: male, black, wearing dark clothing.
The victim sustained laceration and swelling to his right eye as a result of the assault.
