Peel Police - An Arrest in Peels Second Murder

Mississauga – Members of the Homicide Bureau investigating the death of a 41 year-old Mississauga man have made an arrest. 

 

Late Saturday night, Peel Regional Police responded to a call for service on Hermitage Road in the Malton area of Mississauga. Upon arrival, Norman ANDERSON, 41 years old of Mississauga, was suffering from a stab wound. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

 

On Sunday, January 27, 2008, police arrested and charged Timothy BELISLE, 38 years old of Mississauga, with Second Degree Murder. He made a very brief appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton this afternoon and was remanded for two weeks with his next appearance on February 11th.

 

ANDERSON and BELISLE are known to each other and were involved in a confrontation prior to ANDERSON being stabbed.

 

Investigators do not expect to make any further arrests. A post mortem is scheduled for the morning of Monday, January 28th, 2008, at the Coroner’s office in Toronto.
