Suspect Sought in Mississauga Bank Robbery
Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in identifying a Mississauga bank robbery suspect. On August 11, 2009, at approximately 3:50pm, a lone male suspect entered the CIBC bank located at 33 Queensway West, in the City of Mississauga.
At this time the suspect, who was waiting in line to be served by CIBC staff, approached a teller and immediately produced a note which made a demand for money. The suspect then motioned to his waistband to indicate he had a gun, but none was seen. The victim teller immediately turned over a quantity of cash. The suspect took the money and ran westbound from the bank on Queensway and then northbound onto Confederation Parkway.
The suspect is described as male, black, early 20's, 5' 6", thin build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a blue and grey hooded sweatshirt and black sunglasses.
