BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT WANTED
Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau are hoping this surveillance video will assist the public in identifying a bank robber. Your call to Crime Stoppers can help solve the case.
On Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009, just before 11:00 in the morning, the suspect entered the Bank of Montreal branch on Cawthra Road in Mississauga. He met with an employee of the bank and was led into an office. He then demanded access into the bank vault, indicating that he was armed. No money was turned over to the suspect, and he left the bank.
He is described as a white male, 45 to 65 years of age, with a heavy build and silver rimmed glasses. He wore business attire consisting of an overcoat, leather gloves, and a Tilley–style hat. He carried a dark leather briefcase.
This case is believed to be linked to a 2003 robbery at a Bank of Montreal in the Woodchester Mall in Mississauga.
