Release #: 2009 - 01b

ELDERLY COUPLE ROBBED IN THEIR OWN HOME

A heartless act by a lone thief has left an elderly Brampton couple shaken, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers could lead the Robbery Bureau investigators to the identity of this man.

On Tuesday January 20, 2009, at around 8:00 in the evening, the elderly couple were in their residence on Vodden Street East. As the 85 year-old male answered a knock at the door, a lone man forced his way into the home, demanding money. The suspect then stole the victim’s purse and fled the residence.

The suspect is described as a male with brown skin, in his late teens to early twenties, 5’ 2” tall weighing 120 pounds. He wore dark clothing with a grey ski mask or balaclava.

Thankfully no injuries were sustained by the victims.
