The Race Against Racism
June 19, 2010
On Saturday, June 19th, the most successful Race Against Racism was held at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre in Mississauga. A record number of participants ran, walked and strolled their way to support this great event hosted by the Diversity Relations Unit and funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Members from across the organization joined people from a variety of communities to celebrate the diversity that exists in Peel Region. This year, the race had over 60 volunteers and 300 participants. Congratulations to everyone who participated!
