12 Division
General
12 Division is a full service operational division. We have a full uniform contingent, as well as a comprehensive criminal investigation bureau and neighbourhood policing unit. The 236,216 residents are served by 251 officers and civilian personnel. It serves the community resting between Mavis Road to the west, Lake Ontario to the south, the Etobicoke Creek to the east and the north boundary is Hwy No. 407 between Mavis Road and Hwy No 410, then Derry Road from Hwy No. 410 to the Etobicoke Creek.

community parks and entertainment areas helps to deter crime. We have certain officers who are dedicated to traffic problems.
Criminal Investigators work in plain clothes and work to solve crime in 12 Division. Specialized units include the Break and Enter Unit, the Auto Theft Unit and Missing Persons.
Neighbourhood Policing Officers work with the area high schools to maintain a presence with our youth population. They work directly with teachers, parents and the community to ensure our youth are on the right path to a great future.
Community Liaison Officer (C.L.O.) Constable Sandro Strangio #3267 is the 12 Division Community Liaison Officer. The CLO is available to talk to groups of all ages on a variety of issues, including crime prevention topics. The Community Liaison Officer works with local youth groups and organizations to increase a positive police presence in the community. Constable Strangio can be contacted at (905)453-3311, ext. 1260.

- Police Community Liaison Committee The Police/Community Liaison Committee has meetings on the second Thursday of each month from January to October. The committee was formed on October 3rd, 1990, to build and improve relationships between the police and the community we serve. This committee collaborates with many community resources and emergency services to provide education and charitable support to service-oriented agencies within the 12 Division boundaries.
Membership is open to all citizens living within 12 Division's boundaries, although there is a thirty member limit. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact the 12 Division Community Liaison Officer 905-453-3311 ext 1260.
